ArtistRelations.com provides endorsements for touring, recording pros, engineers, producers, & composers. We are endorsement specialists- Where Bands Meet Brands
Randy Fuchs founded a music industry rep firm selling wholesale to music shops. He worked for Tapco (later Mackie), Audio-Technica (he was their very first music industry rep ever), DOD/DigiTech, Heil Sound, Audix, & more. He noticed competing brands had similar ads touting their brand as best. Randy felt if every advert states their product is the best then consumers will not believe any of them. Randy called musicians he knew to see if they would help. (Did I neglect to tell you that Randy was also a musician & owned one of the larger studios in the Southeast US?) Anyway, he arranged for them to try gear, endorse it, and also help promote it.
Living in Miami (actually Miramar for those of you that are sticklers) Randy set up Audio-Technica endorsements with Gloria Estefan, Phil Ramone, Scott Page (of Pink Floyd & Supertramp fame), & Journey (through their engineer Chris Tervert.) That led to some major exposure for this (at the time) unheard of mic. For DigiTech, Randy (while still running his rep firm) worked with Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather, Adrian Belew, Al Di Meola & more, providing signature presets for DigiTech. (We're talking the early '90s) Randy also did endorsements with Mackie & Audix, shot video testimonials with Candlebox, Goo Goo Dolls. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ringo Starr, Jackson Browne, Cheap Trick, George Strait, Bruce Springsteen, Tool… you get the idea.)
Getting in a debilitating accident in 1994 (requiring many surgeries- ouch!), Randy sold his rep firm (which won over 60 awards) and consulted for 2 years with the new owner before going full-time into independent artist relations. For Randy, artist relations was a logical choice- for others, it was a novel concept whose time has come…
